The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After Penn State attended the Harvard Law School, graduating in 1957. Returned to Pittsburgh to enter private law practice in 1958. In 1965, switched to corporate law, joining the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Moved to New Jersey in early 1973 to become an attorney for aviation pioneer, Curtiss-Wright Corporation. In 1992 became the Curtiss-Wright General Counsel and corporate Secretary. Retired in 1999 at age 66. Also served for twenty years as an Air Force Reservist, primarily as a Judge Advocate, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978. In 1963 married Bonnie Painter, then of Irwin, PA. We have two daughters, Jenifer and Rebecca, whom we love dearly and of whom we are immensely proud. In late 2005 younger daughter Rebecca and her husband, Jeff, gave us our one grandchild, Brooke. That child is a delightful, outgoing little girl who has absolutely none of her grandfather's nerdish tendencies. In 1999 Bonnie and I moved to our present home at the Landings on Skidaway, a coastal island thirty minutes from downtown Savannah, GA. Over the years have involved myself in a long line of political, social or charitable organizations and activities. Since retirement the primary community focus has been on providing both financial and hands-on assistance to charitable organizations that benefit disadvantaged children in the Savannah area.
